Alex Stein

The ultimate motivator, Alex excelled in sport as coxswain of her uni rowing team and went on to compete for Team USA. In bike guiding she has found the perfect way to combine her passion for cycling with her unique motivational skills. She is set on getting more people out on two wheels both on vacation and in everyday life.

Casey Thompson

Mastermind

As co-founder of Bike It! Bellagio and Bike It! Tours, Casey has made biking in the Lake Como region more readily available to tourists and locals alike. A competitive swimmer, cyclist and tri-athlete, Casey brings her passion for sport and for the food of the region to planning top-notch experiences that surprise and delight.

Luca Negri

Heatmap King

Co-Founder of Bike It! Bellagio & Bike It! Tours, Luca has cycling in his blood. His obsession with local roads is best exemplified by his Strava heatmap. We argue that no one has ridden more of our local roads than Luca. The ultimate route planner, Luca explores every road with you in mind. What should you see next?

Imad Sekkak

Moroccan Champion

Our young champion has been riding more than half of his life. An immigrant to Italy at age 11, Imad caught the cycling bug soon after arriving and he's never stopped. During his pro-career, Imad competed on three continents and claimed his native countries national championship. Today he loves sharing the roads with others.

Alberto Elli

The Yellow Jersey Holder

Our very own champion, Alberto brings a two decade long elite cycling career, and a lifetime commitment to the sport of cycling. His passion for the open road, and the Lake Como region knows no bounds. Alberto can be found tackling all of our hardest climbs on work days and off days alike.

Mario Limonta

Local Legend

Better known as Strava influencer Mark Monks, Mario can be found along the shores of Lake Como riding 100km+ every day, year round. Known for his fierce pace setting, booming laugh, and striking good looks, Mario always bring entertainment and steadiness to every ride.

Every ride is led by an expert guide who sets the pace and ensures a smooth experience. For larger groups, a second guide will ride at the back to provide extra support and handle any challenges along the way. On flats and descents, we ride together as a group, while on climbs we encourage each rider to take it at their own pace—always regrouping at the summit. You’ll never have to worry about missed turns or being left behind.
We use these three levels to help you understand the intensity of our trips.

🚲 Leisure Explore
Perfect for anyone new to the saddle or just out to savor the sweet life. These relaxed rides keep things light and fun: 2–3 hours on the bike at an easy pace, sprinkled across a full day of exploring. Expect gentle climbs, gorgeous views, and plenty of time to stop for gelato or a photo. E-bikes are encouraged for an extra breeze!
Distance: 15–30 miles / 24-48km
Elevation gain: 200–1,500 ft / 50-500m

🚵  Rolling Strong
For riders with solid fitness and a taste for adventure, these routes mix steady climbs, rolling hills, and scenery that will distract from the challenging climbs. They’re moderately intense and always rewarding — with an e-bike option if you’d rather save your legs for that post-ride aperitivo.
Distance: 25–60 miles / 50-96km
Elevation gain: 500–4,500 ft / 150-1400m

🚴‍♀️ Peak Pursuit
Ready to chase big climbs and even bigger bragging rights? These epic rides are made for seasoned cyclists who love long miles, steep ascents, and jaw-dropping vistas at every turn. It’s demanding, it’s exhilarating, and it’s the ultimate way to experience the drama of our landscapes — with plenty of pasta waiting at the finish. Opt for the e-bike to turn a Peak Pursuit into a Rolling Strong adventure.
Distance: 30–80 miles / 50-130km
Elevation gain: 2,100–6,500 ft / 700-2000m

On many of our trips, a support van (“sag wagon”) rides along to keep you fueled, comfortable, and covered. Expect water, energy bars, and snacks at the ready—plus extra layers when weather shifts between valleys and mountain peaks. The van is also stocked with tools and guided by experienced hands for any bike maintenance needs.

Prefer to ride a little less distance or skip a steep climb? The van doubles as a strategic resource, ready to shuttle you between designated pickup and drop-off points. Work with your guides and driver to decide what part of the days course are best for you. Our goal: help you maximize your adventure without overdoing it. Why not make good use of the “Party Van”?
Your bike is your partner on the journey—and we’ve built a fleet to fit every rider and terrain. Choose from Bike It! Bellagio’s fleet; three levels of road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, or kids’ bikes, all from Bianchi, the world’s oldest and Italy’s most iconic cycling brand. With a full range of sizes available, you’ll be perfectly matched for comfort, performance, and pure Italian style. 🇮🇹
We believe the food is every bit as important as the ride. That means everything from elevated dining experiences to hidden local gems with unforgettable views, family recipes, or regional specialties you simply can’t miss. Whether it’s fine cuisine or rustic charm, every stop is hand-picked to celebrate the flavors of the region.

Please let us know if you have allergies or food restrictions. We certainly make every effort to accomodate food sensitivities and dietary restrictions.
We partner with a wide range of hotels to match different comfort levels and budgets. On our scheduled tours, expect clean, comfortable accommodations that let you rest well without unnecessary frills—since most of your time will be spent exploring, not in your room. On Bellagio local tours we offer 4 and 5-star accomodation options. For custom tours, we’re delighted to tailor your stay to your preferred style, whether that means charming boutique hotels, luxury escapes, or budget-friendly options.

FORBES

Travel Italy Like An Insider with the Best Local Experts "Given that the owner grew up here and knows everyone, it’s not surprising that the food and drink spots are insider picks. The shop sits near the iconic Madonna del Ghisallo climb, the most famous in the Giro di Lombardia, a race more than a century old, and several days a week the shop offers guided group rides with a climb of the pass, on road or e-bikes—Bianchi bikes of course!"

"Thompson and Negri opened Bike It Bellagio in 2018 to showcase the beautiful landscapes and bike routes the Lake Como area has to offer. This idea came to them while they were leading bike tours. They realized there was no bike shop or tour business in the area, so they decided to capitalize on this opportunity."
