Milano-Sanremo Season Opener Weekend

March 21st - March 24th, 2019

A special long weekend with some epic pre-season training rides ... from the classic climbs of il Lombardia to the Milano-Sanremo, the 2019 season opener. Enjoy a warm-up day on Lake Como to see the Madonna del Ghisallo, followed by the main adventure of the weekend: the Milano-Sanremo! Experience the course as the pros do—we will depart from Milan before dawn on March 23rd and ride the entire course to anticipate the arrival of the racers in Sanremo. We’ll be in the best company of a local and beloved Italian cycling group. There will be different pace options available and a follow van that will give you the option to take a break, if needed. We’ll spend the final night on the seaside in Liguria, celebrating our accomplishment and the start of the 2019 cycling season! 

Thursday, March 21st:  
Morning airport pickup (Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio)
Bianchi factory visit

Transfer to Bellagio for bike setup and hotel check-in

Friday, March 22nd:

Onno & Ghisallino ride: 35km, 700m elevation gain
Ghisallo Cycling Museum visit

Saturday, March 23rd: 
Early Breakfast
Transfer to Milan for Milano-Sanremo course departure 
MILANO-SANREMO 298km
Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Laigueglia
Sunday, March 24th:

Transfer back to Milan airport (for late afternoon or evening flight)
